BioMedware has received a notice of award that its research in creating software for joinpoint regression analysis of time series health outcomes data will continue with additional funding of $1 million from the National Cancer Institute.
Joinpoint regression, available from the NCI Surveillance Research Program, is increasingly used to identify patterns in time series of health outcomes and to project future cancer burdens. Spatial pattern analysis similarly identifies important real-world patterns. BioMedware has received a grant to implement joinpoint regression within Geographical Information Systems (GIS). This project will develop software for geostatistical modeling and joinpoint regression analysis of spatio-temporal data.
Additional Information:
- This project builds on a Phase I award of $204K, also from the NCI, awarded in 2016.
